Listening is possible from any phone connected to the network. The condition is to have a dedicated phone number and GSM coverage within the area of the shredder.
The device is mains powered. This allows for unlimited operation time. In case of power outage, the built-in battery will keep the eavesdropper running for 2-3 hours.

The microphone is hidden at the back of the device and picks up sounds in an area of up to 5 meters.
