The Alcoblow is an easy-to-use rapid response instrument that is used to determine if a person has any alcohol on their breath. The Alcoblow uses a Lion fuel cell sensor, so the likelihood that the reading will be affected by anything other than alcohol in the exhaled air is negligible.

The AlcoBlow Rapid is a non-contact electrochemical breathalyzer in which there is no physical contact between the subject and the instrument during the test, so there is no need to use a mouthpiece or cap on the device. All you have to do is blow air into the sampling cone until the signal indicating the test is complete. The AlcoBlow Rapid does not have a display and only indicates whether the person is under the influence of alcohol or not. Within seconds, the system cleans itself, fully automatically, then is ready to conduct another sobriety test.

An important feature is the passive mode, which is used for testing when the person is unconscious or while talking to the person being tested. The passive mode also allows for the control of drinks brought in, which is great for employee inspections, mass events, or in prisons.

The AlcoBlow Rapid® is ideal for use in situations where large numbers of people need to be tested, including police roadblocks, prisons, at the entrance to mines, factories or safety-critical facilities.

AlcoBlow breathalyzer service and warranty

The warranty of the breathalyzer covers a period of 2 years for the electronics of the breathalyzer and 1 year for the sensor. In order to benefit from the warranty, you must strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations for calibration of the breathalyzer, which should be performed at least once every six months.
