The Tascam DR-05X is a great audio recorder that sets a new standard among handheld stereo recorders. Great functionality, a simple interface and excellent sound quality classify it among professional equipment. One of the first recorders for use in both journalism and videocreation.

The DR-05X audio recorder by Tascam features two condenser microphones that excel not only with clear sounds but also with subtle ones in the 125 dB SPL range. The design of the DR-05X has been upgraded to make operation quick and easy. A huge advantage is the one-button operation of many useful functions including recording, level adjustment, deletion of bad recordings.

To power the Tascam DR-05X you only need an AA battery, which lasts for approximately 17 h continuous operation using the built-in microphones and standard two-channel (WAV) mode. Power supply via USB from a power bank, among other things, is also possible. The Level Align function can compensate for sudden jumps in volume level during playback.

You will no longer miss the right moment

The auto-recording function detects the level of the input audio signal and starts recording automatically. In addition, equipped with a pre-recording function, the recorder records 2 s in advance.

Louder than you thought? Don't worry

The Peak Reduction function works in either rehearsal or recording mode. The function automatically reduces signal levels to avoid distortion.
