When it comes to generating longer texts, the AI’s versatility and ‘talkativeness’ are unmatched by OpenAI’s chatbot. It also allows you to generate simple images with DALL-E and analyse attached documents.
ChatGPT advantages:

In addition, searching for information on the web may not meet your expectations. The chat uses a research function, but this is limited in the free version. Once this has been used up, the artificial intelligence model from OpenAI will use a knowledge base updated in 2022, rather than the latest data from the web. So you will not receive up-to-date information, e.g. on the US presidential election.

What is Perplexity AI? It is a completely different model than the aforementioned chat with artificial intelligence. It differs not only in the way it reasons and formulates answers, but above all in its application. It is used to conduct research, i.e. to search for answers to any questions. It can be compared to an automated and more intelligent Google search engine. Most importantly, it bases its answers on the latest data from the web.
Each answer in Perplexity is confirmed with references to sources, i.e. links. The model converses with us in a dry and factual way – it is not as ‘talkative’ as ChatGPT.
Users of the free version receive answers in a basic form and can also use five more advanced searches per day. Perplexity PRO members receive answers from more than three times as many sources. They can also choose models and change research modes, e.g. focus only on scientific sources, online forums or search for information in R1 mode, which uses advanced reasoning.
Advantages of Perplexity:

- has real-time internet access,

Cons of Perplexity:
- limited use (mainly analysis and research),
