The Dräger Interlock® 7000 breathalyzer is an ideal example of a professional in-car alcohol interlock. The device consists of two parts: a central unit connected to the immobilizer and a tester handle connected to the control module. Once a sample is given and the driver's sobriety is confirmed, the vehicle's starter will be unlocked and allow the vehicle to start. The handheld part of the device is lightweight and comfortable to operate.   In the Interlock® 7000 car breathalyzer, the electrochemical sensor is designed primarily for the measurement of alcohol, so that the measurement is not disturbed by other substances. In case of any attempt to tamper with the device, information is immediately recorded in the test history.

  QUICK READINESS FOR WORK

  The device is characterized by a short warm-up phase and quick readiness for operation. Depending on the ambient temperature, the readiness time can extend up to 110 seconds at -45 °C.

  BREATHALYZER POWER SUPPLY

  The car breathalyzer is an energy-efficient device. The maximum power consumption is 2 A while when the vehicle is stationary, it consumes less than 1 mA, ensuring vehicle operation without unnecessary interference.

  SAFETY STANDARDS

  The Interlock® 7000 in-vehicle breathalyzer complies with the most important European standards including German approval EN 50436-1:2013; EN 50436-2:2013 as well as ECE Regulation No. 10 and Regulation (EC) No. 661/2009.

  DATA ARCHIVING

  The device stores all the most important information, including reports of samples fired or refused, engine start and stop cycles, as well as any tampering attempt. The data is encrypted and reading it requires special equipment and permissions.

  EXTERNAL CAMERA AND GPRS MODULE

  With the (optional) camera and GPRS module, we can immediately find out who took the alcohol measurement, or be informed if one of the drivers failed the alcohol test.

  The device works with the vehicle's immobilizer. In the event of a positive result, the alcohol interlock is activated, preventing the engine from starting.

Service and warranty of the Dräger Interlock® 7000 car breathalyzer

The breathalyzer warranty covers a period of 2 years for the breathalyzer electronics and 1 year for the sensor. To benefit from the warranty, you must strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the calibration of the breathalyzer, which should be performed at most every 2,500 measurements or at least once a year.
