The electronic breathalyzer Intox EC/IR II.t is a reliable tool for quick testing of the exhaled air to measure the alcohol concentration. The tester can work both using the electrochemical testing method and spectrophotometric measurement in infrared (IR).

Methods of analysing the exhaled air

  Electrochemical sensor

  The electrochemical sensor is applied in professional breathalysers used mainly by the police as it is neutral to side substances that could impair reliability of the result.

• 

  Spectrophotometric measurement

  Spectrophotometric tests apply infrared waves which, using the IR spectroscopy, allow to determine compounds in the tested sample. The spectrometric method allows to determine the residual quantity of alcohol.

Intox EC/IR II.t has a backlit LCD screen which not only is helpful in testing and device operating but it also enables to view the results before printing and archiving. The tests are done with the use of disposable mouthpieces to provide hygiene and precision of the measurement.

The electronic breathalyzer is able to store up to 4000 test results, which can be printed thanks to the built thermal printer. The device is powered directly from the 220-230 V DC electrical installation or 12 V DC installation (in-car), so it can work with no breaks.

To enable communication with external devices the electronic breathalyzer includes two RS-232 ports, USB ports (optional) which make it possible to connect the breathalyser to a printer or a keyboard.

Service and warranty of the Intox EC/IR II.t electronic breathalyzer

The granted covers 1.5 years for electronics and 1 year for the sensor. To be able to use the warranty please strictly follow the manufacturer’s instructions concerning calibration of the breathalyser, which should be done every six months.
