Vortex Sphinx S is a professional hand metal detector of a timeless design, with 16 levels of sensitivity, possibility of choosing 1 - 3 types of alarms and very long operation time. The device was meant to work in field as well as as a stationary equipment.

  Adjustable sensitivity

  Vortex Sphinx S is highly sensitive within the range of ~30 kHz and can be adjusted at 16 levels. For example a gun can be detected at a distance of up to 230 mm.

  An important feature of Vortex detectors is easy way of their operation. At the front part of the device there is a control panel with buttons enabling control of the device with just a thumb.

  3 detection alarms

  The hand metal detector will indicate detection of a metal by way of one of 3 methods: a light signal, sound signal or discreet vibration.

  Efficient power supply

  Performance has been increased to the maximum for this type of device, so power consumption has been reduced to a maximum of 3 mA. Such a result allows for uninterrupted operation for up to 400 hours using alkaline 9 V batteries. Additionally, the device will automatically turn off if there is no activity for 8 minutes.
