Pole camera for hardly accessible places - REI VPC 2.0

REI's VPC 2.0 video pole camera is a highly advanced instrument allowing to inspect places normally difficult to reach, such as spaces above suspended ceilings, high ventilation grates, or spaces to which the access is obstructed by objects difficult to move, making normal visual inspection impossible. It can also be used to examine a car's chassis.

Due to an integrated illumination system, the VPC 2.0 is able to operate in darkness. Using a pole camera, the operator is able to inspect a number of difficult to access spots for concealed surveillance devices, explosives, or other potential threats. The camera allows to view the feed live, record videos, and take snapshots.

The pole camera head has an adjustable 60° tilt angle, and comes with a powerful LED illumination system, which allows it to work efficiently even in total darkness. Alternatively, the camera is available in a black-and-white variant with IR illumination system.

In the Standard version, the REI VPC 2.0's pole has maximum length of 198 cm, while the Deluxe variant is as long as 381 cm, granting the operator a very long range of observation. Due to its lightweight and ergonomic construction, the operation of the camera is essentially problem-free, ensuring the effectiveness of work.

The pole camera can be easily controlled, using a panel connected to a large, 8” screen. A video output allows to connect an additional display unit. The camera allows to record videos as well as to take snapshots, which are later stored on a microSD card. The device is powered with a rechargeable battery, allowing for 5 hours of continuous operation. The set includes two rechargeable batteries. The VPC 2.0 camera is being delivered in a convenient case, providing the device with protection during shipment.
