MO-2M is a portable explosives detector from the experienced Sibel brand. The device is directed primarily to security services of construction sites, airports, public transportation and subways, as well as border guards or the military.

The model enables instant inspection of selected people, luggage and building interiors. The MO-2M analyzes the surrounding air, thus detecting vapors and micro particles of explosive charges. This is all thanks to the combination with the TVIN thermal chamber.

Instant real-time detection

Detection is very efficient, and the result is shown at the time of examination. MO-2M informs you of the threat with alarm noises, as well as pictorial notifications. The display will show a special graph and a message.

Device with extremely high sensitivity

The MO-2M explosives detector uses the most advanced technology on the market for nonlinear dependence of ion mobility on the electric field. As a result, Sibel engineers have created an extremely sensitive device that takes and examines samples simultaneously.

MO-2M allows automatic detection of explosive charges at vapor concentrations of less than 10-13 g/cm3 (0.01 parts per billion).

Two main modes of operation: steam and particle

The Sibel MO-2M offers two modes of operation that allow you to adapt the device's operation to conditions and circumstances.

• In vapor mode, the air is sucked in by the analysis head. In it, it is ionized by a radioactive source (tritium), then discharged into a separation chamber. There, the ions are separated by asymmetric electric fields and then captured on a collector, producing a current that is amplified and recorded.
• The particle mode, on the other hand, verifies samples through paper wipes and a built-in thermal vapor intensifier (TVIN). Once the material is introduced, heat vaporizes the residual explosive and the detector analyzes its vapor.

Automatic calibration

After each analysis, the MO-2M detector automatically recalibrates. Thus, it continuously adjusts the ion separation conditions to the air changes that occur.

Working time is at least 4 hours

The MO-2M portable explosives detector is powered by a single 14.4V lithium-ion battery. Each battery provides at least 4 hours of continuous operation in vapor mode. An AC/DC converter (100-240 V, 50-60 Hz) can also be used as an option.
