Portable radio scanner AR8200D is a successor to the legendary AR-8200MK3 with additional features such as microSD card slot, CTCSS decoder and USB port. What is left of the previous model in addition to the full functionality is a robust design, easy-to-read screen and backlit panel.

  Recording

  The device is equipped with a microSD card slot and in a set with the receiver there is included a 4 GB card, which can store up to 65 h of recordings. Files are saved in WAV format sampled every 18 kHz.

  CTCSS decoder

  This function enables selective receiving of radio communication. AR-8200D CTCSS decoder enables skipping hearing other users at a two-way shared channel. CTCSS mutes users with the use of a tone "dffrent" or without "CTCSS".

  Decrypting voice

  This analogue mode of voice decrypting serves the purpose of decoding the analogue voice transmission through reversing frequencies in FM transmissions. Adjustable carrier frequency between 2.4 and 6.15 kHz. Analogue voice encryption is sometimes used by radio services, during car races, wireless telephones.

  APCO25 decoder

  When APCO25 function is active, it is possible to monitor digital signals. This function was used only by the US authorities and security agencies.
