  Frequency range of the spy bug detectorProtect 1216 was split in 3 segments each of which is displayed on a separate bar graph:

  • VHF / UHF 50-700 MHz,
  • Portable and wireless 700 MHz - 3 GHz,
  • micrwave and wireless 3-12 GHz.

  
  Separate indications allow the operator to better understand what type of signal was detected to detect several signals at the same time and to maintain the detection capability near sources of interference.

  Microwaves

  The third ‘microwave’ band of iProtect 1216 covers frequency range 3-12 GHz. This unit detects Wi-Fi and other wireless protocols operating at 5 GHz and at any higher frequencies. The frequencies of microwaves are usually more hidden, however the spy bug detector iProtect 1216 can easily find these signals.

  Alarm

  The alarm function helps the operator to reject background interference by adjusting the threshold. When the signal exceeds the alarm threshold, the device makes a warning sound. The alarm is also extremely convenient when testing hard-to-reach places or keeping the device in a "guarding" mode. The alarm threshold has 48 tuning steps.

  Histogram

  In the "ONE BAND" display mode, iProtect 1216, in addition to the bar chart, shows the histogram for the selected band. The histogram draws a history of the signal acquired within the last 5 seconds. This is an extremely useful feature when observing intermittent or periodic signals or during quick checking the area with a probe.

  Wi-Fi and 3G

  The spy bug detector iProtect 1216 has a much higher sensitivity for 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth frequencies compared to conventional RF detectors. This advantage has been achieved thanks to additional radio frequency paths in the circuit designed for specific ranges.

  Detection notifications

  Apart from bar charts iProtect 1216 can identify some types of signals and display a message about their detection on the display: wireless DECT device in "idle" state, active DECT, GSM, 3G, Wi-Fi / Bluetooth devices and etc.
