The USB dictaphone MVR-330 has been designed for open recording of sound and it looks like a standard voice recorder. Operation of the device is very simple and intuitive. There are 3 main buttons on the front of the device under the navigation LCD screen: a large "REC" button to start and stop recording, "pause/play" button to playback the audio footage and "stop" button to stop the playback. On the sides within fingertip reach there are rewinding buttons, volume control, power on/off and audio in port for the optional microphone and headphones for direct listening to the recordings directly on the USB dictaphone. In addition, the mic in port can be used to connect the included phone line adapter which enables recording landline phone conversations e.g. in offices or legal institutions.

The USB dictaphone MVR-330 has a built-in battery with the capacity sufficient to ensure about 21 hours of recording and 8 hours of listening to the audio footage via headphones connected directly to the device. The built-in 8 GB memory, allows for recording for 560h at 32Kbps, 96h at 192Kbps and 48h at 384Kbps depending on the selected quality.
