AGM Taipan thermal imaging monoculars are high-tech equipment for observation in difficult weather conditions, regardless of the time of day. They are used during hunting, patrols, travel and rescue operations.
The Taipan tactical thermal camera has a built-in uncooled vanadium oxide detector with a resolution of 256×192 and a highly sensitive 12 μm sensor, which allows you to see details even in total darkness. Vibrant colors, contrast, as well as deep and clear images are guaranteed by the LCOS display with a resolution of 720 x 540 pixels. This technology is used in high-end projection TVs.
The monocular allows observation from a considerable distance (detection range of up to 708m), thanks to digital zoom of 1×, 2×, 4× and 8×. The latest video processing methods, such as AGC, DDE, 3D DNR, reduce noise, sharpen edges and automatically adjust the dynamic range of the image.
After entering the height of the observed object and marking its top and bottom edges, the stadiametric rangefinder measures the distance between it and the observer. This function is particularly useful for hunters. The professional thermal imaging camera also tracks the highest temperature. It automatically detects and marks the point with the highest value.
The Taipan thermal imager is distinguished by its control function from a mobile device. Using WiFi, you can transmit images, change parameters (brightness, contrast. zoom, colors), record videos and save them to the device's built-in memory (8 GB). The dedicated T-Vision app works with Android and iOS.
The built-in lithium battery allows continuous use of the thermal imager for up to 8 hours on a single charge (with WiFi off). Power saving is facilitated by the device's automatic shutdown and sleep mode.
The monocular weighs about 270 g and fits perfectly in the hand. It has an IP67 protection rating - it is completely resistant to dust and water when submerged to a depth of one meter for up to thirty minutes. The reinforced design will also survive a fall from 1.5 meters. The manufacturer offers a 3-year warranty.
The sensor with a resolution of 256×192 and a refresh rate of 50 Hz gives a bright, clear and crisp image. This will be useful especially in lower light conditions.
Detection range of up to 708m (depending on the version) along with the ability to mark the highest temperature hot spot.
The built-in rangefinder makes it easy to determine the distance to the target. All you need to do is mark the top and bottom of the target and enter its approximate height.
The monoculars provide digital magnification of 2×, 4× and 8×, making convenient and comfortable observation possible from considerable distances, reducing the risk of detection.
The built-in WiFi module allows the camera to remotely connect to a smartphone thanks to the manufacturer's dedicated app. Using it, you can remotely rip footage and start recording.
Built-in memory gives you the ability to record collected materials.
Built-in battery provides power for up to 8 h of continuous operation (with Wi-Fi off).
The ability to choose a color palette (Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion) will make it easier to customize the image to suit your preferences and the prevailing conditions.
