Portable mobile phone detector PocketHound – detection of cell phones and jammers in range up to 25 m

PocketHound-01 is a passive transmitter that is not bigger than a deck of cards and is able to detect transmissions of e.g. 2G, 3G and 4G (PCS, CDMA / WCDMA (UMTS), GSM, EGSM).

PocketHound is a portable mobile phone detector that enables discreet detection of jammers and devices which transmit GSM signal. This detector has been designed mainly for universities, who care about fair conduction of exams, but also for prisons and youth detention centres, where possessing mobile phones is illegal.

High sensitivity -83 dBm and dynamic range of 60 dB enable detection of wiretaps within the distance of 20-25 m, even when the detection device has been hidden in a pocket. Detection of active transmission is signalled by means of diodes and discrete vibration. The portable mobile phone detector is powered by the built-in rechargeable battery, which allows continuous operation for about 2 hours.
